Jason Kazmierski is a resident of Sterling Heights, Michigan, a suburban city in the Metro Detroit area. He comes from a very musical family, and the love for music was in him since he could remember. Once he picked up the saxophone in the 5th grade, he knew that music was for him. He continued playing through junior high and could not wait until the last day of the 8th grade. On this day, he would officially become a Marching Falcon of Henry Ford II High School. He marched all four years on alto saxophone and ended up becoming section leader for his senior year after showing great leadership skills both on the field and in the classroom. He graduated Henry Ford II High School in 2012 and in the Fall, started to attend Oakland University and Macomb Community College to study business.
Once at college, he met some friends who marched in the Glassmen Drum and Bugle Corps. Jason recently became a fan of Drum Corps the summer before, so meeting people who had marched gave him the opportunity to learn from them. He talked to them about their experiences and learned about drill maneuvers, visual, and more about the activity itself. After attending a few shows in Ohio, Michigan, and Illinois, the thought of creating the visual program came to Jason. After much thought and practice, Jason made his vision a reality.
Jason is not only involved in supporting the marching arts. He is an avid golfer and he likes to get out as often as possible. Jason also takes great pride is his photography. He’s won a few awards in some local art shows and he has even sold a few.
