LeeAnn Law

Tour Vlogger

Currently a Senior at Zachary High School in Zachary, Louisiana- a few miles north of Baton Rouge- LeeAnn Law was born into a musical family. Her father was a classically trained cellist who was accepted into Juiliard School of Music, while her mother grew up with traditional Cajun musicians. LeeAnn was told that she was matching the pitch of hair dryers and vacuum cleaners before she could talk!

By the age of 9, LeeAnn discovered her love of music and was already playing multiple intruments including the guitar and flute, and would go on in her parents' footsteps to learn cajun music on fiddle, while playing concert music on flute, and writing original music with her guitar. She spends her time playing gigs around the Baton Rouge area at different venues.

In high school, she was the youngest girl to be selected as Drum Major in 40 years, and held this position for her sophomore through Senior years. She lead her marching band to Superior ratings in festivals, while also being given the opportunity to assist her directors in teaching the students. LeeAnn participated in multiple All-Parish honor bands, the Southeastern University honor band, and was 1st chair flute all four years in high school.

LeeAnn discovered Drum Corps in 2012 when her cousin dragged her into a theater to watch DCI finals. After seeing Carolina Crown's show, she fell in love, and was convinced that "she would be a part that someday". LeeAnn went on to become the drum major at the Louisiana Stars Drum and Bugle Corps in 2015, and is currently in her 2nd year for the 2016 season with the corps. She hopes to move on to a World Class corps before she ages-out three years from now.

After attending the 2016 Annual DCI Drum Major Summit in Denver, Colorado, LeeAnn is excited to continue her Drum Corps career and hopes to influence young students to be involved in the marching arts. She plans to attend the University of Louisiana at Lafayette to major in Music Education.
