Madelyn Corcoran

Madelyn Corcoran is an energetic vocalist and trumpet player from Orlando, Florida. She is passionate

about the marching arts and about growing its presence in mainstream culture, which she hopes to do 

by sharing her experiences on tour as a member of the CWI team. Her ultimate goal is to foster an 

increased interest in and recognition of the drum corps activity which she has fallen in love with. In 

2015, she marched with Heat Wave of Florida Drum and Bugle Corps in their inaugural season, and will 

be returning to the trumpet line in 2016 as horn sergeant.

Madelyn is pursuing a degree in music education at the University of Florida while studying voice 

privately and marching in the Gator Band. In addition to her classical training, she enjoys performing a 

variety of musical genres as both a soloist and as a member of numerous ensembles, including a 

cappella groups, pit orchestras, and pep bands. After graduating and aging out, she aspires to become 

the next Beyoncé, and also to be a drum corps technician.

When not making music, Madelyn likes to draw, crochet, play video games, and spend time with her 

friends and family. She has a deep love for adventures, and her summer with Heat Wave is the one she 

treasures most.
