The Drum Corps International tour makes the first of three stops in my home state, Michigan. Legends hosted the Legends Drum Corps Preview.
Legends started off the show tonight by performing a standstill, music performance. They are still in spring training, so they do not have a finished production yet.
The Madison Scouts once again brought “78th and Madison” to life, having a strong performance. They swept all captions except for percussion and took 1st overall with a 64.10.
The Crossmen are building on the success of last season and making Finals by going “Above and Beyond” our expectations. They had a great performance and took 1st in music analysis ahead of Madison. They took 2nd with a 62.20.
After a mishap with trucks prevented them from going on in Louisville, Spirit of Atlanta rose “Out of the Ashes” and entered competition. They have a strong brass line and their production will take them far this season. Spirit finished in 3rd with a score of 58.10.
The Colts are once again the storytellers as they present “…and a shot rang out: The Johnny Staccato Murder Mystery.” The Colts are hoping to make Finals after just missing it last season. They finished the night in 4th with a 57.80.
